Weirdly, I watched the news on Yahoo whereby Bush gave his last press conference for his term as the US President. And even more weirdly, I actually agreed with what he actually said – ‘Based on the intelligence gathered in Iraq, there were problems brewing in that country, well someone had to do something about it, and I did what I had to do’.
From his statements, I actually agreed with what Bush said for the first time. There was indeed a huge problem in Iraq and that being one of the world’s largest oil producers, Iraq had some form of world power when it comes to oil supplies. I’m pretty sure that this is a huge threat to the world due to Saddam Hussein’s heretic nature.
On the other hand, what I don’t really agree is the fact that the government isn’t listening to majority of the public – whereby even the citizens of Iraq don’t want them in their country.
I believe that it’s time to admit his mistakes and pull troops out swiftly from the country and let’s hope that there wouldn’t be bombs dropping on someone’s roof anymore.

 Well we didn’t expect one of the world’s largest and renowned banks would report such a huge loss – their Q4 financial report has pointed that the company made a whopping $8.29 loss.
What’s even more mind boggling is the fact that how the hell did such a well known financial corporation could be making such a huge loss?! Isn’t Citigroup supposed to be the experts when it comes to financial matters and that we trusted this company with our money and to find out later that they made a huge Q4 loss? This certainly would affect investor’s confidence and I’m thinking that Citigroup would definitely join the deadpool pretty soon.
For investors who have dumped their cash in this horrid financial institution, I’d recommend you to bail out your money and ditch this ailing company.

I read an article on Yahoo whereby they have compiled a list of billionaires of the yester years and are pretty broke after the economic downturn. Can you imagine that these billionaires were pretty wealthy before the economic downturn and that their assets as well as cash totaled up to several billion dollars?
One of such unfortunate billionaire is in fact an owner of a bank in Iceland which bankrupted recently. His estimated fortune before bankrupt was $1.1 billion ++ and his net worth was zero after bankrupt.
On the other hand, other billionaires worldwide aren’t spared as well. In fact, the survey showed that most of these billionaires lost a couple of billions during the recession.
I guess for those who make more money than the general public definitely has its disadvantages as well right?

I just moved in to my new home and I have in fact bought a complete bedroom set for my new room. To tell you the truth, design isn’t really that important to me – what matters the most is the comfort of the bed, hence I spent quite a little bit more for my mattress. Things are pretty bad at the moment – if you take a look at the stock market, you’d understand that it’s been downhill for more than 6 months now. For starters, if huge multinational Fortune 500 companies are in big financial trouble, it will create a chain effect to smaller companies which depend on the larger counterpart.
As the result, everyone’s profits are down, companies have less money to spend, and if you look at the news, corporations are slashing their workforce by the thousands!
I’m pretty sure you have read the news on Obama’s big plan to revive the ailing economy. I’m also very sure that he plans to create more consumer spending in the market to break the deadlock created by the chain effect.
However, it’s still too early to tell whether this will actually work – but I praise his iron fist and iron tongue whereby he has convinced almost everyone that the stimulus is definitely a huge factor in reviving the economy. Let’s just hope that it would restore investor’s confidence when he steps up as the President of the United States.
